In Deutsche Bahn's long-distance services, roughly one in twelve trains was cancelled in full or in part in the first half of 2026, according to industry figures evaluated by the Greens' rail expert Matthias Gastel.
The cancellation rate in Deutsche Bahn's long-distance services stood at eight percent in the first half of 2026. That was three percentage points more than in the same period the previous year, according to the report cited by the Greens parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
