In new Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other parts of the country, several people were injured according to Ukrainian reports, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Western partners to provide additional air defense.

Attacks on multiple regions

The Ukrainian Air Force said it registered a total of 76 aerial targets on Wednesday morning in waves of attacks from Russia. Of these, 60 targets had been classified as hostile, according to a report by the state news agency Ukrinform, which cited the Air Force. According to the report, the attack was directed at several regions of the country.

In addition to Kyiv, Ukrainian authorities reported strikes and injuries in the Kharkiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions. An attack by Russian armed forces was reported from Kharkiv; no detailed information on the number of injured was initially available. In the capital, several city districts were affected according to official statements.
