Bern, June 3, 2026

The second SRG trend survey by GfS Bern shows that the SVP initiative against a "10 Million Switzerland" is tipping towards a "No" with 52 percent rejection compared to 45 percent approval, as revealed by the data published on Wednesday.

Sentiment Clearly Shifting

The mood before the vote on June 14, 2026, has thus noticeably shifted in favor of the opponents compared to the first wave, which still indicated a stalemate. Only 3 percent of respondents are undecided, according to GfS Bern, giving the initiative's opponents a comfortable starting position. The shift is significantly driven by supporters of the Center and FDP parties, whose rejection has increased considerably recently.
