Berlin, June 01, 2026

Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion from the USA, has announced her return to the WTA Tour almost four years after her retirement and will compete in grass-court tournaments in London and Berlin.

The 44-year-old received a wildcard for the WTA tournament at London's Queen's Club, which begins next week. According to media reports, she will play in the doubles there alongside the 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko.

Just one week later, from June 13 to 21, Williams is scheduled to play at the grass-court tournament in Berlin's Grunewald. It would be her first appearance in the German capital in 18 years. Both tournaments are considered important preparation for the Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon at the end of June.
