An Israeli airstrike on a residential building on the edge of the southern Lebanese town of Ansar killed seven people, according to the Lebanese news agency NNA.
The official Lebanese news agency NNA reported on Friday that a "hostile fighter jet" had hit a residential building on the outskirts of Ansar. Seven people were killed in the attack. The agency initially did not release further details about the victims, such as their identity or age.
Location of the Attack
Ansar lies in the Bint Jbeil district in the Nabatieh province of southern Lebanon, a region that has been the scene of intense military clashes between Israel and the Shia militia Hezbollah for months. The Nabatieh province is among the areas from which Israel has repeatedly described militia targets. Independent confirmation of the attack and the death toll was not initially available.
