Slavia Prague faces severe sanctions including a record €400,000 fine and a four-match fan ban after pyrotechnic incidents and a pitch invasion halted their potentially title-clinching derby against Sparta Prague on May 12.

Financial and Sporting Penalties

The Czech Football Association imposed a 10 million Czech koruna (€400,000) fine on Slavia, the maximum possible penalty under league regulations. The club must also play its next four mandatory matches behind closed doors without supporters.

Sparta Prague, whose fans also participated in the disturbances, received a smaller fine of approximately €25,000 (22,610 Swiss francs). The abandoned match was officially recorded as a 3-0 victory for Sparta, reducing Slavia’s lead at the top of the league to just five points with three games left in the season.
