Bavaria's Minister-President Markus Söder (CSU) has announced that the Free State will approve the federal government's planned health reform package in the Bundesrat, and defended the project on ZDF's "Morgenmagazin" despite considerable burdens as ultimately "fair and gerecht".
Reform core: Abolition of sick notes issued by phone
Bavaria's Minister-President Markus Söder (CSU) announced on ZDF's "Morgenmagazin" that Bavaria will approve the health reform package of the black-red federal government in the Bundesrat. The package is "jetzt unter dem Strich mit Schmerzen zustimmungsfähig," Söder said. He personally agrees "schweren Herzens."
The reform project provides, among other things, for the abolition of sick notes issued by phone. In the future, a medical certificate will be required from the first day of illness. The sick note by phone was introduced as a special regulation to relieve medical practices during the Corona pandemic, according to Söder. "Es habe Missbrauchsfälle gegeben, etwa an Brückentagen," he said, justifying the return to the in-person requirement.
