Steven Spielberg's sci-fi film "Disclosure Day – Der Tag der Wahrheit" arrives in German cinemas on 10 June 2026 and tells the story of two outsiders who want to reveal the existence of aliens to the world.
"And they do exist, the aliens" – so begins the journey in Steven Spielberg's new film, which thematically connects to his earlier work "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977). This time, the focus is not only on individual sightings, but on an archive of evidence kept secret for decades. Spielberg, who with "Jaws," the "Indiana Jones" series, and "Schindler's List" ranks among Hollywood's most influential directors, ventures back into a genre he himself decisively shaped.
