A participant from Styria has cracked the first eight-fold jackpot in the 40-year history of the Austrian Lotto 6 aus 45 and secured a prize of 12,050,822.50 euros.
A record in forty years
The record-breaking success was announced on July 19, 2026. The win is the highest achieved this year and is officially recorded as "solo sixer wins just under twelve million." As the Österreichische Lotterien announced, it is also "the second-highest individual prize ever won in the history of Lotto 6 aus 45." The previous all-time record, according to the operator, stands at 14.9 million euros, paid out in November 2018 after a seven-fold jackpot to a player from Lower Austria.
