During targeted checks in Traun (Linz-Land district), police pulled 13 e-scooters from traffic last week, including a manipulated all-wheel-drive vehicle capable of reaching up to 150 km/h.

Background of the checks

The checks were carried out by the traffic service of the Traun police, partly together with the Traun city watch. As police announced, the inspections targeted vehicles with more than 600 watts of power as well as scooters exceeding the maximum speed of 25 km/h permitted in Austria. At a targeted check in Traun (Linz-Land district) and surrounding area, police seized an e-scooter equipped with all-wheel drive that was capable of reaching 150 km/h last week.
