At the final bull run of this year's San Fermín festival in Pamplona on 14 July, ten participants were injured, two of them seriously by goring, while police provisionally arrested a US influencer dressed as the Joker.

At the eighth and final bull run of the San Fermín festival in Pamplona, a total of ten people were injured on Tuesday. According to the organizers, all of the injured were men aged between 18 and 86, most of them Spaniards. As the official statement further reported, the injured were taken to hospitals with bruises, contusions, cuts and bone fractures.

According to the state broadcaster RTVE, the final run was the most dangerous of all eight races this year. Two runners suffered serious injuries from goring. Among them was a 46-year-old who was struck in the chest by one of the fighting bulls weighing up to 600 kilograms, as well as an 18-year-old who was impaled in the thigh. In addition, an 86-year-old Briton from Halesowen near Birmingham took part in the run and sustained injuries to his right hand, left eyebrow and left elbow.

In addition to the injuries caused by the bulls, an incident involving a US influencer caused a stir. According to police, a US influencer dressed as the Joker, who had run while holding a mobile phone in contravention of safety regulations and had also violated other rules, was provisionally arrested. For endangering public safety, he could face a fine of up to 6,000 euros according to media reports.
