Grünheide, July 20, 2026

Tesla Manufacturing Brandenburg SE plans a significantly increasing production volume at the Grünheide site in fiscal year 2026 compared to the previous year, as stated in the 2025 annual report.

In fiscal year 2025, 202,000 vehicles rolled off the production line at the Tesla plant in Grünheide, 9,000 fewer than in the previous year. The factory's capacity utilization in 2025 was 54 percent, slightly below the 56 percent of the previous reporting year. The decline is attributed by the company primarily to a model change and the integration of new variants.

Production targets for 2026

Despite the slight production decline, the company looks ahead with confidence. The annual report states: „Für das Geschäftsjahr 2026 prognostiziert die Gesellschaft eine deutlich steigende Produktionsmenge im Vergleich zum Vorjahr." Tesla had previously announced its intention to increase production in Grünheide to up to 7,500 vehicles per week, which would correspond to approximately 375,000 vehicles per year. „Die Kapazitätsauslastung solle entsprechend steigen", the report continues. Tesla is also pursuing the goal of „die Produktionsmenge zu maximieren".
