The electric car maker Tesla intends to significantly ramp up production at its Grünheide plant in Brandenburg and is aiming, according to the company, for up to 7,500 vehicles per week, while battery cell manufacturing is set to be expanded.
Production targets
At the beginning of the year, Tesla had already set the goal of increasing production at its only European site in Grünheide to up to 7,500 vehicles per week. Projected annually, this would correspond to roughly 375,000 vehicles. At the same time, the company announced plans to expand battery cell manufacturing at the site.
