DUISBURG, 13 August 2026

Thyssenkrupp reported improved results and pointed to progress on its planned listing of TK Accelis, the restructuring of Steel Europe and the strong position of TKMS as evidence that its transformation is taking shape.

The industrial group, headquartered in Duisburg, said its updated results underscore the direction of its multi-year restructuring programme, which is intended to split the conglomerate into more focused, independently financed units. Management framed the latest figures as confirmation that the new structure is beginning to deliver, rather than as a final verdict on the group's financial health.

The strongest contributions came from the defence and marine division, TKMS thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, where a backlog of submarine and naval vessel orders has made the unit a focal point of investor attention as European governments increase defence spending. Executives said the order book and pipeline remained robust, providing a counterweight to softer conditions elsewhere in the portfolio.
