Trains collided at Vienna Main Station on Wednesday; the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) have set up a rail replacement service with buses between Vienna Hauptbahnhof and Gramatneusiedl.

Replacement Service and Affected Lines

On Wednesday, trains collided at Vienna Main Station. The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) responded immediately and set up a rail replacement service with buses between Vienna Hauptbahnhof and Gramatneusiedl for the affected Regional Express lines REX 63 and REX 64. This is intended to keep the impact on passengers as low as possible.

According to the ÖBB, the incident occurred in the area of the main station, one of the most important hubs in the Austrian rail network. Passengers on lines REX 63 and REX 64 should expect longer travel times, as the buses cannot cover the route at the same speed as scheduled trains.
