US President Donald Trump plans to hold bilateral talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Syrian transitional President Ahmed al-Sharaa on Wednesday afternoon on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, according to the White House.
Deputy White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told reporters on Sunday: "Trump werde am Mittwochnachmittag bilaterale Gespräche mit Selenskyj und al-Scharaa führen." The two-day NATO summit begins on Tuesday in the Turkish capital Ankara. On Wednesday evening, Trump then wants to depart again toward Washington.
