US President Donald Trump spoke on Saturday in separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy about possible ways to end the war in Ukraine.
As Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov stated in an audio message to reporters, the conversation between Trump and Putin lasted about 85 minutes. During the call, Putin congratulated Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence, according to Ushakov. In addition, the discussion focused on a possible resolution of the Ukraine conflict, also in view of Trump's upcoming participation in the NATO summit in Turkey on July 7 and 8.
