Donald Trump announced on Tuesday, during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House, an upcoming attack on the Iranian nuclear facility "Pickaxe Mountain," while Iran rejected the accusations.
Threat from the White House
At the White House, Trump declared that the United States would target the facility known as "Pickaxe Mountain" very soon. "We will target this area shortly, and with full force," Trump said on Tuesday during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House. The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran over the Iranian nuclear program.
Iran rejected the characterization immediately. Ismail Baghai wrote on the platform X that US reports about the facility were "nothing more than an invented pretext for aggression, destruction and sabotage." Baghai also affirmed that Iran's nuclear activities would be fully reported to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
