In Tyrol, the ÖVP and FPÖ are tied at 29 percent each in a current poll by the Foresight Institute for ORF Tirol, bringing a possible change of power at the 2027 state election into the realm of possibility.

State Governor Anton Mattle, who has led the ÖVP in a coalition with the SPÖ since the autumn 2022 elections, would — according to the survey — also tie with his party at 29 percent in the state governor question. This puts him well ahead of FPÖ state chief Markus Abwerzger, who comes in at 15 percent, and far ahead of SPÖ deputy state governor Philip Wohlgemuth (4 percent) and Green state chief Gebi Mair (4 percent). Liste Fritz lead candidate Andrea Haselwantner-Schneider received 7 percent.
