Exhibition in Gronau to Open as Planned

Despite the cancellation, a major exhibition dedicated to Lindenberg will proceed as planned. The special exhibition 'Udo L. – aus dem Pott ins Hotel' at the rock'n'popmuseum in Gronau is not affected by the health-related cancellation.

The exhibition is set to open on Thursday, June 4, and will run until the end of 2026. It is funded by the Brost Foundation.

The centerpiece of the Gronau exhibition is a faithful replica of Udo Lindenberg's hotel room in Hamburg. The installation serves as a posthumous tribute to the artist for his 80th birthday in his birthplace.

A Milestone Birthday Marked by Multiple Tributes

A few weeks ago, Lindenberg opened another exhibition in Werl, approximately 100 kilometers from Gronau. That show displays his pictures and drawings, with titles referencing his songs such as 'Sie spielte Cello', 'Hinterm Horizont', and 'Ich mach mein Ding'.

Lindenberg, often called the 'Panikrocker,' is one of Germany's most influential musicians, known for his distinctive voice, trademark hat, and decades-long career that helped establish German-language rock music.
