Escalation in Hostilities
Ukrainian forces carried out one of their largest drone strikes on Russian territory in retaliation for a barrage of Russian missiles and drones targeting Kyiv. According to verified reports, Russia fired 675 drones and 56 missiles at Ukraine, with air defenses intercepting most but failing to prevent casualties. The attack on a building in Kyiv resulted in at least 24 fatalities, underscoring the intensifying violence.
