Ukrainian drones attacked the Siberian industrial city of Omsk overnight — located more than 2,400 kilometers from Ukrainian-controlled territory — and damaged Russia's largest oil refinery, according to Kyiv.
The General Staff of Ukraine in Kyiv confirmed the attack, stating that special forces of the army had damaged the refinery in Omsk. According to the General Staff's account, Ukrainian combat drones covered a distance of more than 2,500 kilometers. Videos circulating on social media showed drones approaching the refinery complex located north of the city.
The governor of Omsk Oblast, Vitaly Khozhenko, confirmed on Telegram that some drones reached the northern industrial zone. He wrote: "Some drones managed to reach the northern industrial zone of Omsk." Eyewitnesses documented a fire at the refinery site, and authorities closed the city's airport due to the air-raid alert.
