The Vegas Golden Knights have regained the lead in the Final series of the North American ice hockey league NHL after a turbulent third end game. The hosts won in Las Vegas 5:4 against the Carolina Hurricanes after overtime. Shea Theodore helped his team on Saturday to a 2:1 lead in the third game of the Stanley Cup Final with his goal in the sixth minute of the second overtime.
The team from the gambling metropolis now leads the series 2:1 in wins; a team needs four wins for the title. A slap shot by Shea Theodore from the blue line bounced off the boards behind the goal, after his teammate Jordan Martinook had previously unfortunately touched the returning puck behind the goal. The puck then went off Carolina goaltender Brandon Bussi into the net.
