Vienna Airport increased its profit by 7 percent in the first half of 2026, while the passenger figures recorded at the Vienna location itself declined.

The Vienna Airport Group achieved a significant profit increase in the first six months of 2026. Half-year profit rose by 7 percent compared with the same period of the previous year. The company is thus continuing its growth course, although the situation at its home base in Vienna developed in the opposite direction.

A total of 17,395,920 passengers were handled at the Vienna-Schwechat location in the period from January to July 2026. This corresponds to a decline of 3.5 percent compared with the same period of the previous year. The group headquarters attributes this development to various factors, including the distribution of capacity within the group.
