A drought dragging on for months

The combination of a dry winter, a spring with little rainfall, and a summer with persistently high temperatures has exhausted available reserves in a very short period of time.

From Vienna's city hall it has been stressed that the decision was not taken unilaterally, but after exhausting all the savings measures and partial rationing applied in recent months. The capital's authorities have recalled that supply to Viennese households remains within normal parameters, although they have called for a reduction in consumption.
