Following the fatal attack on a 25-year-old Austrian in a shared apartment in Innsbruck, there is still no hot lead in the investigation, as the deputy head of the State Criminal Police Office, Philipp Rapold, told APA on Friday.
Background of the crime
The crime became known on June 25. According to the current state of the investigation, the 25-year-old had been stabbed by an unknown perpetrator during an altercation in the apartment. The perpetrator subsequently fled, and the suspected weapon – a knife is assumed – remains unaccounted for.
The 25-year-old Austrian had sustained multiple stab wounds. He was initially brought to the Innsbruck hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died a few days later. As a result, the authorities are now conducting murder investigations.
