The Association for Consumer Information (VKI) has put 30 coffee cosmetics to the test and warns against hormonally active and environmentally critical ingredients in many products advertised as natural.

Criticism of Ingredients

Caffeine is a popular pick-me-up, and increasingly so in cosmetics. The Association for Consumer Information (VKI) has subjected 30 products to a cosmetics check. Many coffee cosmetics advertised as natural contain environmentally critical or health-concerning ingredients — this is the result of a VKI check.

The consumer advocates criticize that numerous products contain substances classified as hormonally active. VKI warns of "hormonally active substances." These substances are suspected of affecting the sensitive hormonal systems of users.
