Volunteer Fire Brigade Krenstetten Rescues Two 750-Kilo Bulls from Slurry Pit

Wolfgang Zarl of the Amstetten District Fire Brigade Command described the situation of the animals as extremely unpleasant. After approximately three hours, the grueling operation was completed. "Nach drei Stunden war der schweißtreibende Einsatz wieder beendet," reported Wolfgang Zarl of the Amstetten District Fire Brigade Command. Both animals, weighing approximately 750 kilograms, were reportedly lifted out of the pit unharmed.

The rescue itself required heavy equipment and a coordinated approach by the emergency crews. Large-animal rescues of this kind are considered particularly exhausting because the weight of the animals, the confined space of the pit, and the slippery environment demand precise work under time pressure.
