Firefighters from seven departments in southeastern Styria rescued around 15,000 chicks from a barn fire near Fehring on Sunday afternoon, deploying 18 vehicles and 91 personnel to contain the blaze.
A large-scale emergency response unfolded in the district of Südoststeiermark on Sunday when a barn fire broke out near Fehring. Firefighters from Pertlstein, Fehring, Johnsdorf-Brunn, Leitersdorf, Feldbach, Lödersdorf and Hatzendorf were dispatched to the scene, working together to bring the situation under control.
According to the operation report, a total of 91 emergency personnel responded with 18 vehicles, making the incident one of the larger coordinated firefighting efforts in the region this year. The inter-municipal response brought together crews from across the Feldbach-Fehring area.
