In Paris, the walk-in art installation "La Caverne du Pont Neuf" by artist JR was opened on the Pont Neuf on Monday evening, in which the city's oldest bridge is wrapped with an inflatable fabric cave.

A Fabric Structure on the Seine

The installation transforms the Parisian Pont Neuf bridge into a walk-in cave landscape made of fabric. According to the organizers, the work is 120 meters long, 20 meters wide, and reaches a height of up to 18 meters in some places. Visitors can enter the structure and walk along the interior surfaces of the wrapped bridge.

On opening night, the artist's team reported that the installation had been „am Abend für Besucher geöffnet worden". JR himself addressed the public in an Instagram story, describing the emotional final days before the opening: „Wir haben Tage und Nächte damit verbracht, sie wieder aufzubauen". He acknowledged that the team at times „nicht mehr daran glaubten, dass sie zurückkommen würde".
