The Chinese manufacturer Xpeng presented its L03 SUV coupe in Munich on Thursday and, with an entry-level price of 35,600 euros, is directly targeting the established competitors in the European electric vehicle market.

The appearance in Munich was part of the Chinese company's international expansion strategy. Xpeng founder He Xiaopeng stated the goal on site unequivocally: "Für unseren globalen Auftritt wollen wir nur eine Marke, und das soll Xpeng sein", sagte He Xiaopeng im Gespräch mit Golem in München. By 2030, the company aims to sell one million vehicles per year abroad, as shown in the presentation.

The base model of the L03 is equipped with an LFP battery with a gross capacity of 58.3 kWh. The other three variants use 71.2 kWh and are said to deliver up to 520 kilometers of range, with consumption of 15.3 kWh per 100 kilometers. This positions Xpeng in a segment that has so far been dominated primarily by European manufacturers and Tesla.
