A clear majority of German citizens would reject an AfD state premier in one of the eastern German states, according to a new ZDF poll.
As the new ZDF "Politbarometer" by the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen shows, nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of those surveyed would consider it a bad thing if the AfD were to provide a state premier in eastern Germany after the elections. The survey thereby measures the population's fundamental attitude toward a possible change of government under the leadership of a party classified in parts as far-right.
