The 17-year-old Palestinian footballer Fadi Hamdallah al-Naasan has died from the consequences of gunshot wounds one week after a settler attack on a village in the occupied West Bank.

What happened on July 11?

As the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) announced, the attack on the village occurred on July 11. The teenager succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, one week after the incident. The association accused the Israeli army of shooting the youth national team player as settlers attacked the village.

According to the association, Fadi Hamdallah al-Naasan was shot in the thigh. Due to the severity of the injury, one of his legs had to be amputated. The Israeli army initially did not respond to an AFP inquiry about the incident.
