A 67-year-old motorcycle rider from Switzerland was killed on Tuesday afternoon on the Bregenzerwaldstraße L200 in Andelsbuch in the Bregenzerwald, when, following a collision with an e-biker, he plunged around 14 meters deep into the Bregenzerache river.
Sequence of the accident
The accident occurred on Tuesday, July 21, shortly before 4 p.m. on the L200 in Andelsbuch, when a 73-year-old man was riding his e-bike on the cycle path running parallel to the main road in the direction of Bezau and wanted to cross the roadway. This resulted in a collision with the motorcycle of the 67-year-old Swiss man.
The force of the impact threw the 67-year-old off the motorcycle; he ended up on the sidewalk, crashed into a bridge railing, and fell about 14 meters deep into the Bregenzerache running below. He died at the scene of the accident. The 73-year-old e-biker was seriously injured.
