Quarterly figures in detail
Group net result improved from -7.9 million euros to 19.3 million euros due to restructuring measures, as Agrana announced on Thursday. Operating result (EBIT) also rose from 5.7 million euros to 35.4 million euros. Revenue, however, fell from 880 million euros to 855 million euros due to lower volumes.
Agrana CEO Stephan Büttner expressed satisfaction with the "soliden" business performance. The return to profitability was attributable primarily to efficiency-enhancing measures, Büttner told APA.
