The third round of the British Open will be played on Saturday, provided the players survive the cut. Should Wiesberger still move up, a low score on Moving Day would be needed to make the jump over the line.

Straka, by contrast, can head into the weekend with confidence. His play on the par holes was steady, and his birdies underline that he is coping well with the difficult course at Royal Birkdale.
