Burgenland's governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) and state transport minister Heinrich Dorner (SPÖ) have said they will refine the state's planned regional road toll during the consultation process, prompting questions about whether other Austrian federal states will adopt a similar charge.
Burgenland's state government has confirmed that it intends to revise the details of its proposed toll on Landesstraßen — regional roads — during a formal consultation process. Speaking alongside Dorner, Doskozil said the administration was open to dialogue with affected stakeholders before the measure is finalised.
