On the B311 near Bruck an der Glocknerstraße, a car plunged into the Salzach on Sunday; according to the emergency services, the driver freed himself from the vehicle.

According to the water rescue service, the incident occurred on the B311 in the area of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße. The vehicle entered the Salzach for reasons that have not yet been clarified and threatened to be carried away by the current. The driver was able to free himself from the car under his own power and reach the shore.

As the water rescue service reported, emergency crews secured the car so that it would not drift further. The water rescue service, the fire department, and the Workers' Samaritan Federation were deployed. Divers were also on scene to fix the vehicle in the current.
