The Voluntary Fire Department of Fels am Wagram was alerted to an unusual operation on Wednesday afternoon. As the emergency services reported, a passenger car had rolled through a garden into a pool. The incident occurred in the Lower Austrian municipality of Fels am Wagram in the district of Tulln.
Course of the incident
According to the current state of the investigation, the 48-year-old driver from the district of Gänserndorf wanted to push his electric car, which had an empty battery, to a charging station. He had asked the homeowner for permission to charge the e-car's empty battery until he could make it to the next public charging point. As he pushed the car toward the charging station, the vehicle began to roll and came to a stop with both front tires in the pool.
