A good month after the start of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the number of confirmed cases has risen to more than 1,000, according to the Ministry of Information in Kinshasa.
A good month after the start of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the number of confirmed cases has risen to more than 1,000. This is based on current figures released by the Ministry of Information in Kinshasa on June 22, 2026.
According to the Ministry of Information in Kinshasa, among the 1,003 confirmed cases in three provinces of the country, there are a total of 254 Ebola deaths. This puts the mortality rate among confirmed cases at around 25 percent.
