In the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, 291 people have died from the disease and 1,118 infections have been confirmed, according to the African health authority Africa CDC, while treatment centers are already 95 percent full.
The African health authority Africa CDC expects the number of Ebola deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo to exceed 300 within a few days. CDC Director-General Jean Kaseya stated on Wednesday at his weekly press conference: „Aktuell sind in dem zentralafrikanischen Land 1.118 Ebola-Fälle bestätigt, sagte CDC-Generaldirektor Jean Kaseya in seiner wöchentlichen Pressekonferenz." In addition, „291 Menschen seien bereits an der Krankheit gestorben" and „bereits 95 Prozent der Bettenkapazitäten in den Kliniken ausgeschöpft".
