The EU foreign ministers approved a new sanctions package against Russia on Monday in Luxembourg, affecting a total of 34 individuals and 47 organizations or companies.
The package consists of several pillars. At its center are seven individuals and 21 organizations that support Russia's military and defense industry or enable their activities in third countries. "Specifically, the new sanctions are directed against seven individuals and 21 organizations that support Russia's military and defense industry or enable their activities in third countries." According to the EU Council, this includes manufacturers and suppliers of drones and military equipment for the Russian armed forces.
