On a shell-construction roof in Lustenau, a 37-year-old homeowner and a 33-year-old man fell several meters into the depths and were seriously injured on Tuesday, according to police.

The two men were on the roof of a shell construction in Lustenau in the district of Feldkirch in Vorarlberg on Tuesday, according to the security authorities. Inquiries revealed that the 37-year-old homeowner and the 33-year-old man are believed to have slipped while working on the roof timbers – both then fell several meters into the depths. Moisture on the construction site is considered the likely cause of the accident according to the current state of the investigation.

The 37-year-old was flown to the Kantonsspital St. Gallen after initial treatment, and the 33-year-old man was admitted to the LKH Feldkirch. Both men suffered serious injuries in the fall.
