A female driver crashed her car head-on into a fruit tree in the early hours of Monday morning in Schlüßlberg in the district of Grieskirchen and died at the scene of the accident.
As police reported on Monday, the traffic accident occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. in the municipality of Schlüßlberg in the district of Grieskirchen in Upper Austria. The woman left the road for reasons that are still unknown, after which her vehicle crashed head-on into a fruit tree. „Eine Autofahrerin ist Montagfrüh bei einem schweren Unfall in Schlüßlberg (Bezirk Grieskirchen) ums Leben gekommen“, heißt es in der Erstmeldung der Einsatzkräfte.
Rescue operation unsuccessful
The alerted rescue forces immediately initiated a so-called crash rescue in order to free the driver from the car as quickly as possible. „Vor Ort fanden die Einsatzkräfte eine schwer verletzte Frau im Fahrzeug vor“, schilderten die Einsatzorganisationen den Zustand der Verunglückten. Despite the rapid extrication, the „verstarb die Frau noch an der Unfallstelle“, wie es im Polizeibericht weiter heißt. Resuscitation measures initiated immediately were thus without success.
