A forest fire in the Müritz National Park in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has spread since Monday and, by Tuesday evening, had engulfed more than 90 hectares of forest, prompting the renewed evacuation of the town of Granzin, with approximately 340 emergency personnel deployed.
According to the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district administration as of Tuesday evening in Neubrandenburg, the forest fire in the Müritz National Park in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has continued to spread. More than 90 hectares were ultimately affected. „Die Fläche, auf der es seit Montag brennt, hat sich in kurzer Zeit mehr als verdoppelt", it was stated. Initially, the fire was located about 1.5 kilometers from Speck, then the wind shifted and intensified. „Am Nachmittag hatte sich das Feuer zunächst in Richtung Speck im Norden ausgebreitet. Dann drehte der Wind und nahm an Stärke zu".
