Sighting in the Kiel Inner Fjord
According to the Ministry of the Environment, the animal was most recently sighted on Saturday in the Kiel inner fjord at the Hörnbrücke. The Ministry estimates its length at about ten meters. Humpback whales are generally between 12 and 15 meters long, as the Ministry announced. According to experts, the animals can weigh up to 30 tons and live up to 90 years.
