According to consistent information from several sources, this was the largest cocaine seizure by the Vienna State Criminal Police Office in a decade. This classification relates to the quantity of cocaine seized, not the number of arrests or investigative measures.

Significance for drug enforcement

The investigators' haul has been described by the sources as one of the most significant blows to drug trafficking in the federal capital. No official statement providing further details about the operation was available to the information provided.

The six people arrested were handed over for further examination and to the competent authorities. What happens next with the arrested individuals is not covered by the available information.

The case shows that investigations in Vienna are targeting large-scale drug trafficking in the federal capital. The available facts identify neither the alleged leaders nor the role of individual suspects or any possible connection between the seized drugs and the cash.
