Linz, July 10, 2026
Austrian football champions LASK have signed 18-year-old Belgian center-back Manoel Verhaeghe from Belgian second-division club RWDM Brussels and equipped him with a contract running until 2030.
According to the club, the announcement came on Thursday: the 1.87-meter-tall center-back moves from Belgian second-division side RWDM Brussels to Upper Austria. The 18-year-old receives a contract with the Linz-based club valid until 2030. No details about the financial terms of the transfer were initially disclosed.
Verhaeghe had been a regular starter in central defense at RWDM Brussels — which competed under the name Racing White Daring Molenbeek until summer 2025 — from the ninth matchday onward and even wore the captain's armband in one game. The club plays in the Belgian second division and is regarded as a classic development stepping stone for young talent.
