A 36-year-old Hungarian national launched his paraglider on Monday at around 9:30 a.m. from the Emberger Alm in the Spittal an der Drau district and collided with a power line; the pilot remained uninjured according to police.

The accident occurred on Monday morning at around 9:30 a.m., as police stated in a press release: "Am Montag gegen 9.30 Uhr startete ein 36-jähriger ungarischer Staatsangehöriger mit seinem Paragleitschirm von der Emberger Alm im Bezirk Spittal an der Drau." After launch, the wing struck a power line.

After the impact, the pilot managed to free himself from the predicament under his own power. According to initial information, he did not sustain any significant injuries. The exact circumstances that led to the contact with the line are still being investigated by police.
