Poland has significantly lowered the state-mandated maximum price for fuel for the summer holidays. The measure also affects travelers from Germany who cross the border to refuel on their way to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or vacation in the neighboring country.

The Polish government has lowered the state-mandated maximum price for fuel in order to relieve the burden on drivers during the summer holidays – including vacationers from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

According to the Polish Ministry of Energy, the reduction takes effect in order to ease the pressure on consumers during the holiday season. In doing so, the government in Warsaw is responding to the persistently high operating costs at filling stations and is once again intervening in pricing.
